How do I get Cubase SX2 to send Midi Clock to the SB404 in XTC Mode? Nothing under Transport->Sync Setup seems to make any difference...

hoi thedave,

Search for other MIDI Sync issues - it just doesn't work well. A delay will click when tempo slaved to a sequencer for example. If possible, have it on internal sync. You cannot text-edit the XTC dev's BPM, but thru SX' automation it works fine...

Indeed, I used to run SB404 in normal Scope Mode, and tho it did Sync it did so very badly, with the BPM counter in the SB404 all over the place and horrible clicking. I've moved over to XTC mode completely now tho, and following the advice posted on this forum everything works fantastically well - except the SB404 doesn't appear to listen to "Ext Clock". (Other native VST instruments know what the Tempo is). Oh well, I'll just let it run "free" (keeps time quite well) and use it on songs that don't change tempo until I find an answer...
