Is this true even when using an SRB instead of a full Pulsar with i/o's? Weren't the original XTC cards just SRB's, anyway?

yes, if using a no i/o card(a plug is available from cw for removing the i/o plate), you can use xtc with the rme, but with a stock card, no.

this seems kinda redundant, since the rme has no real advantage, but whatever makes your system work....

Gary, do you think I could get you to try it with my SRB/XTC board? I've really had no luck getting it to work so far & figured that it just wasn't going to work.

with scope 4.0 there is a program called scope i/o enabler/disabler.

as far as i know, you can use this one to disable the io plate of your pulsar, scope card.

that should do the trick.

Hey Guys,

I too would like to use XTC mode with another I/O card (Yamaha 01x)

I tried the IO enabler program and no luck - Any other tips. Do you need a special project ? I assume you need to start Scope prior to starting Cubase.

Thanks

have you tried putting a soundcard dest module into your xtc project? I've done this messing around with other soundcards to see how the output sound was different to my scope i/o's. Just remember to make one card a master and one card a slave and you shouldn't have any problems. With regards to a delta 10/10 i'd presume you would have to have a number of soundcard source/dests to set it up for multiple i/o. This still uses the scope asio and gives you access to other cards. Can't guarantee it'll work in all circumstances but it worked for me.

so you tried this in ver 4.0?
please let me know if you've found a solution as i've just ordered an RME card and i still would like to hold on to the Optimaster and the Masterverb..

I have a pulsar XTC Pro, with Classic IO and a Yamaha 01x. With or without disable I/O with IO Enabler of SPF4, i have noticed that some module like masterverb and some synths like bluesynth have no problem to run in XTC mode with my ASIO M-LAN driver active, but some other, like compressor, generate noise and crash of the system
