is this from the recent Jeanne? Or is it like a compilation of the whole sequence of hurricanes?

But man... it looks tough. Where are these pictures from? (as in what city)

Yep,

That about sums it all up right there, fortunetely for me and my familly I have a concrete block construction home that was built within the last 2.5 years and has the latest hurricane building codes, it is incredibly strong and came with shutters, but it was still scary as hell here.

I think the highest winds I had in my area were 100 MPH, at one point you could hear the house flex, which its made to do in these situations, still super scary.

I have a friend staying with me from further north in florida and his area is on the beach, he got slammed, melborn is the city, above indian river county, they not only had the hurricane but mass tornados at the same time.

On the news they are saying that the state being hit 4 times in one month is a 1st in history and the relief effort in florida is the largest of any kind in US history.

In the end its all just material things, people will rebuild and tree will grow, as long as your alive and safe, thats all that matters.

Cheers!

yes - in that respect I guess most of your situation is rather different from the very sad situation on Haiti.
