dangerous 2 bus

a rather new product, has anybody been using it? if so, did you notice quality improvement vs summing inside the daw?
any advice appreciated

Look's like an elegant concept. Makes sense to some extent, just a really clear signal path to 2 channels out. I'd like to try one and hear the difference.

the mix magazine reviewer loved it, and they are not easy to please.

Looks like it's worth checking out. As long as you can get your mix down to 16 output tracks. If you have to do any internal sub bussing that would defeat the concept, I think.

No matter how good it sounds or don't sound, it means that if you want to end in digital, you put your music thru an unnessesary extra set of conversions. So it will have to sound "2 conversions better" than your CWA mixers. Remember, that a lot of people talk og "mixing/summing in the box" as one thing, while several people here have reported, that VDAT + CWA mixers sound better than i.e. Cubase. So maybe somebody feels, that the dangerous 2 bus sounds better than their Cubase, and they conclude form there, that it souds better than digital summing... You've got to take care of that before buying. This is really a thing I wouldn't go for before trying it out.

Also, it is not that new.

I've seen rave reviews of it on other boards. I consider analog summing a stupid idea though. I would rather add warmth with outboard compressors, effects, etc.
