Typical, isn't it!

I finally find a reverb that I really like (trying out the 'lite' version of it over the weekend).

So, I decide to buy it!

I get into work this morning with an email from the company that makes the device, indicating that there's a group buy on the product, and the price is already down by 30%!

But...the group buy ended yesterday...

(FYI, it's Anwida Soft's DX Reverb).

Much more depressingly, I think that my SamsAmp PSA-1 is broken

If I leave it on any preset for a little while, the LED near the patch number starts flashing/flickering, as if the patch has been edited (but without any knobs being adjusted). On each flash of the LED, the unit spits out a very unpleasant 'pop' or 'crackle' noise.

Any PSA-1 users out there with any ideas? I might try to do a 'factory reset' on it to see if that makes a difference. I notice quite a bit of noise when aadjusting the level control too...I suspect a dodgy potentiometer as a possible cause for the problem.

Fingers crossed, maybe it will miraculously repair itself by the time I get home this evening...

reminds me of my Virus being broken...no sound out anymore.
May be a good idea from you, to try a manufacturer's reset

I got quite a funny reply from Tech21 yesterday:

"Therefore, when a knob is pressing against the faceplate the sonic vibrations from playing may cause a pot to "think" it's being adjusted, and the red light will blink.

Try simply pulling all the knobs away from the panel slightly (say, the thickness of a business card) so they can rotate freely. That should solve the problem."

I gave the unit a system reset when I got home from work but the edit LED was still coming on after a while. I had a few beers with some friends afterwards, so will return to the problem this evening with a clear head.
