I was always wondering why there wasn't a Reverb for Modular.
will there be a scope device of it as well ?
-since a reverb consists of different modules itself (delays, filters, maybe random lfos, gates, envFollowers), it seems that it doesn't make much sense to provide such a module. in fact, the RevMod is more a device than a simple module (so stardust's question is appropriate indeed).
the reason I made it was that I wanted a
modulatable reverb.
so the answer will be: no, because the only sense of this module is it's flexibility. there are enough good reverbs here for this platform already (much better soundwise than this one).
to get an idea what's it all about, here is a
mp3 with some drumloop-goes-modrev sounds.
or, load the patch in the ModularPatch area, so you can fiddle around yourself.

I love the demo and the possibilities of sound.
I am not usre where the patch you described is though.
Vocals through this would have some unique results.
Thanks Again.

The Linking of the Modulation amounts is very considerate, especially for stereo work.
Somehow you have managed to avoid artifacts when I use CC's in realtime.
Hat's Off 2U Sir, and Thanks for the great examples.

I'm glad that you liked it!
I updated/bugfixed it (
http://www.cwmodular.org/ModSingleDL/RevMod.mdl ) and made an "one-surface" version (
http://www.cwmodular.org/ModSingleDL/RevModOS.mdl ), which is better to edit (but kinda ..big...)

and also uploaded some presets (EarlyReflections, Reverb, allSettings) :

some more modules:
adsr vint eg fastCw - based on a mod1 module, which is faster than the mod2 EGs.
adsrPitchEg - eg w/ env curve display
chorusM
dxRouter - like the one fra77 made, but w/ fb control
fmCwm - fm sine osc w/ 2x pitchMod, 1x frqmod, adsr+slope, Tvel + LVel, and 2xampMod.
freeEg - drawable eg w/ own presets
freqMultiply - like in fmOsc
pitchModifierCwm - 2x sync mod inputs; pm2 can be quantized
modules download:
http://www.cwmodular.org/files/cwmModules2008_12.zip
dsp file requ. for freeEg:

Ho w did you get the first delay sound Roy? Is there a way you modulated the delay with an LFO to get the exact spacings?
Didn't realise the modular pack has so much to offer. Not enough time in the day.
Could you post the preset of that delay?
Thanks

How did you get the first delay sound Roy?
I see you've created your own delays that aren't part of the Creamware pack. Are those the delays you use?

Thank you so much for these and putting then in a zip file.
Please let us know more with your developments and if you need any support.
All this for free....Wow!
Thanks

I like this new expansion of modular synthesis.

The only oddity I've noticed so far is that the FreeEnv.mdl makes SFP 4.5 complain about an unregistered device being used so it demands that I enter an activation code for FreeEnv. And yes, I do have RampGen1.dsp in the correct location.
Apart from this minor problem, thanks for a great collection of moules.

thanks for your replies and sorry for the unregistered device thingy; I've uploaded a bugfixed version of the freeEnv here:

see ya

Excellent.

The VocFilterXL.mdl seem to be behaving the same way as FreeEnv did. Could this have something to do with me not having Modular 3

ah, you've got me again. and yes, you're getting this message because a) you don't have modIII and b) I was too stupid to delete a file (to be exact: a b2u module) in the circuit.
please download the corrected version here:
http://www.cwmodular.org/ModSingleDL/VocFilterXL.mdl
stardust, it's just a vocal filter.

Hi Roy,
These are all great modules, endlessly useful and Wow a great addition to modular
I've found some of the links broken on the site, eg, the Shroomz Delays
Is there any chance of a fixed link? (I did a search on PZ but could locate them)
and I gotta ask are you planning any future development releases for Xite ?

Hi feg,
thanks for your comments.
as for the broken links: I'll update the website anyway soon; good that you mentioned it. in the meantime, if it's the Shroomz delays you're after: I made some delays that are similiar (but preset-list-able

). you can download them here:
http://www.cwmodular.org/ModSingleDL/Delay800Fb.mdl
http://www.cwmodular.org/ModSingleDL/GateDelayPoly.mdl
are you planning any future development releases for Xite
certainly; if not for Xite, at least for Scope
though, currently I'm busy with a new synth.

roy thinnes wrote:ah! new toys.
as long as your Scope card hasn't got sufficient on-board memory, delays > 4 ms cannot be modulated w/o crackling. to avoid this, I made a different approach:
instead of modulating one delay, I combined several delays to achieve a similiar effect; I named it
conseqDelay.
the result can sound like
this (short del->long del), or
that (long->short->long). together with a pitch shifter it's similiar to a tape echo:
nice! .
the conseq delay consists of 16 single delays, and can easily be cascaded to achieve smoother transitions between the delays.

here ; (with link to example patch)
other new modules/bug fixes:
MorphSwitchIR (connect a sync source to switch between snapshots),
LFO Ax (unipolar mode corrected)

Roy, do you have the setup for which you made that sound?
I can't get ConseqDelay to work like that.
Thanks

ok, sorry for not updating the link: please see
http://www.cwmodular.org/html/delaycwm.html for the conseqDelay.
and: the provided demo patch was crap - please try the new one (same name) in the modular patch zone.
