Lets just say Ronaldo is a cunning little knob cheese who deliberately aggrevated the Wayne Rooney sending off then winked to his bench as he walked away after his fellow Man U' player was sent off. Dasterdly tactics indeed!!

If the Portugal players are cheats, then the English players are astonishingly stupid. Rooney knew that he would get provoked in this game (ummmm did he not watch the Portugal v Holland game!) and he fell for it. He has no-one to blame but himself.

I think any player would have done what Ronaldo did (run to the referee to complain about the foul). I have to say I didn't see him waving an imaginary card to force the referee to send Rooney off.

I think the English should blame the English players - too busy living champagne lifestyles with pop-star girlfriends, too hyped by a media starved of anything else to write about. It's embarrassingly self-indulgent, and the world should quite rightly by laughing.

I think the whole thing is summed up by people like Beckham and Lampard - Beckham crying because he couldn't play any more (boo-hoo... the guy who came on for him made him look like a joke) and Lampard, who had a comedy tournament yet was quick to blame the other team.

Well, most footballers aren't particularly well educated to say the least. That's not to say that they're stupid, but more a legitimate excuse for their stupidity

How anyone deserves to be paid millions of pounds a year for doing what footballers do (stars or not) completely escapes me. Even unenthusiastic Sven was reportedly on 5 million pounds a year, which is just a scandalous waste of money imo.

you may check the volume of merchandize that is done with players like Beckham and their respective team(s) - the 'salary' is perfectly in tune

cheers, Tom
(and yes, they aren't payed for kicking the ball)

Well, about the (last) England game...I thought that they did finally make a go of it when they were down to ten men. They looked more like scoring than Portugal ever did.

Rooney's very talented but a bit of a thug; you can't play football by stamping on other player's testicles. He deserved to go off, but it didn't need that big twit Ronaldo's interference to help the ref make his mind up.

I'd still like to see Germany win, but it looks like the French have finally got their act together, a Germany : France final looks veyr possible!

The little frau with the red tank top from Duestchland makes my balls smoke. When I return to Las Vegas on the 5th of July, I shall beat my fiancee extra hard beccause of this fine creature. She's the 2nd one down in World Cup Babes ( full list ). Gotta go, must fan my crotch!!

I'd go for the rather fine Brazillian lady (10th picture down) who's stress-testing her rather flimsy top

I agree with you also, but the movie Basic Instinct with Sharon Stone has swayed me towards the blonde German thing 4 years now. My fiancee is a retired dancer from Argentina. She looks like that frau with olive skin, being of German and Italian descent, I miss her and will beat her severly when I return from my duties as Den Mother in FLA. I can't even get these brats to let me watch the World Cup, as X Box 360 rules our suites on both displays.

Unlucky Germany... another couple of minutes and you'd have been in the final for sure

I have to say I felt a little bit sorry for the Germans, especially Klinsmann, he's a top geezer. Still, you guys have dished it out to so many teams in the past, it's gotta come back around some time

Italy-Germany 2:0, and what a thriller!! 2 Goals for Italy in the last 2 minutes of the extensions... Last week Rome was going mad after qualifying for the quarters, considering a ride downtown w Alf and ReD... what a party here!!!

Yep probably true, but Italy just played better... very intelligent football indeed.

Do they really triple park in Rome? Have a good trip at0m, and let me know if the Italian cops are faster at catching you than the police where you live.

Quite an amazing end to the game last night, my favorite game of the championship so far. Fair play to Italy, unlucky Germany (at least they don't have very far to go to get home...)

As long as Portugal lose tonight, I don't really mind who wins it. I'm sick of seeing that big jessie Ronaldo poncing about on the football pitch
