I've already convinced myself i can't live without it so i'll be buying one now. Long as the US price is'nt too high upon release i'll get it. If its higher priced then i expect then i may have to wait a few months. Either way its faaaaar out my budget range but since its a whole Platform thats the core of my studio rather then just a synth or Effect i figure great sacrifice is worth it. I may be living on the streets for awhile but atleast i'll have XITE-1 :) . I look forward to using larger amounts of synths and effects while working at 96khz. I remember working in Propellerheads Reason cpu efficient enviroment launching instruments and effects at will without worry, and i definitely want SCOPE like that. My comfort zone might actually be met with only 2 to 3 SCOPE Professionals but it would'nt make sense to pay alot of money for them when i can get XITE-1 wich will meet my needs again in the future. And XITE-1 will cost about the same and is only one unit using one slot, has PCIe compatibility, portability, mic pre's and far more power so it's the no-brainer upgrade path for me. Also i plan to start doing Gigs at some point and the portability of XITE-1 is attractive in that respects to me aswell. I have no doubt XITE-1 will become the high-end music-system to beat out here and will awaken many to the beauty, versatility and power of the SCOPE.

sadly i've to wait a few months, i'm moving soon, and you all know that moving always comes with lots of additional costs such as new furnitures and stuff. So hopefully i'll be able to get one this year! you see, a swiss banc account doesn't help if it's empty :(

:D

Yes that's a quite big investment but not so much if you caompare it with current competitors.....

Actually, I cannot spend money on pci or pcie boards anymore in 2008 and I am happy Soniccore has focused its money/time on a mobile solution (express card is an excellent idea to reach MAc users too !!!). We need to become more mobile and thus I definitly want to focus my money on the Xite for this very reason... Furthermore, all the plugins we have mean money so transfering them makes sense to me : you do not "throw" your previous investment. The Soniccore's marketing strategy is getting better for sure !

I was initially interestesed in a powercore x8 but it costs you almost 2000 euros to get only few good plugins, a "small" power (compared to that of Xite), no preamp, no in/outs, no flexibility and latency isssues ... damn, the xite is now my obvious mext investment !...

:D I will personnally keep the last pci board I have (I will transfer the plugins to the X-ite in order to use it with a laptop) as it will stay in my racked PC...

Leting people keep their old baord would be nice though  (except if the transfer procedure is now different)

I have all the plugins for my cards (minimax, prodyssey, etc..)
Hopefully there'll be a new way to transfer all the plugins to XITE for free!!!!
Otherwise it will be a lot of extra-money!!!

Soniccore should think about it. I won't buy or spend again money on things I've already bought at least once!!!!!!!!!!

well, even if they charge to transfer(i don't know what the deal is personally), it's only 55 euro for the transfer of multiple devices normally.

I am sure you will give in.

I'll give you a teaser using QWave as a WAVE Piano w/ 16 voices of polyphony. :D
