Putting the blame on Steinberg is idiotic because customers just want to use their stuff and don't care who is a fault! Grrrrr!

Ah cmon..now you are rambling...I use this plattform every single day,and it served me well and paid for itself.It has its flaws but cmon please...every piece of software and hardware has something that could be improved...

OK, let me ask you then - would it have been better to bring out new hardware with a completely new software system? Keep in mind, this would have meant no backwards compatibility to the Scope stuff.
This was the discussion some time ago, when we first started in on thinking about the Solaris and other ideas, and did not have any option to access the Creamware stuff. When the whole deal happened and Sonic Core was formed, things took a different path in the discussions, obviously, because now they had a user base to support and consider - bringing out new hardware that would be incompatible with the older SFP software would really have abandoned the group here, and I think would have generated a lot of hostility.
Also, I might add, the code for XITE is not exactly the same - most all of the Scope library has been re-written to optimise it for the new DSPs, although the system will look and operate basically the same.

I don't know. It's an interesting philosophical debate. I could be wrong but I don't think people buying the xite will be the same people who bought the older stuff. We'll see.

Yes the xite has quite a pricing but ..well there are still 14 dsp,6 dsp,3 dsp cards so i thing a broad line of customers can be satisfied.A pcie internal card would be nice but i dont consider pci to be dead by a long shot so......

the pci card is NOT dead. they will still be making the old Scope cards for a bit....

Then we see what they have for us. I have no fear that there WILL be a replacement for the home guys.Maybe even a scaled down xite like ssl duende mini? Who knows.

um... why do you care? you told us more than once that SC won't be getting any more money from you, so why is it of any importance for you to know what's after they bury PCI?
I mean, whatever it is, it will most probably have the same software you consider bad designed, it will include the key protection scheme you dislike...
why in the name of he-who-must-not-be-named do you really want to know???

to your own reasoning about Scope and XITE hardware, it's software, programming concept, possibilities, restrictions... ?
to be frank (who I'm certainly not...) you know nothing at all
I'm in no way biased towards your opinion or your critical attitude - in fact the latter is highly appreciated, but you just cannot derive a public demand from your very own (and nothing but your personal) ideals.
Make a suggestions, people will read them, even those who are supposed to not to do it according to your imagination...

well, you misadressed your question anyway, since (as you perfectly know) garyb is as well a wrong choice as am I. the only ones who might have a relevant answer, actually, are the guys and girls at SC.
so if you address your questions to people who are obviously not the right people to ask, don't be surprised to get answers from the wrong people, either.
