Yeah, me too! Well, this is one of my prayers answered. For a while I was asking CW to make a giant plate reverb. Plate and nothing but! So you've knocked a request off my list. Now if someone can just make that Electric Piano..... <nudge-nudge-wink-wink>

Sorry if I'm being an arrogant newbie when it comes to plate reverbs, but... what's the difference between "normal" reverbs and plate reverbs?
Carl.

A plate is a huge slab of metal which is used to create reverberations, as opposed to a room or spring reverberator for example.
It is not a practical thing to have in the average studio or bedroom project studio (in the same way as a cathedral is not a convenient thing to have in the studio either).

That looks good too
What makes an "ambient" reverb an ambient reverb? I understand Hall and Plate - but ambient? What are the sonic characteristics of ambient reverbs?

Hey,
The algorithm generates the reflections which appear in the first 200-300 milliseconds. Its intended to become part of the sound - not just reverb. You can dial in allmost every room/studio sound with warm and spaciousness.
Kind regards

That will be interesting to test. Many devices have promissed stuff like this. I didn't try them, but I am quite shure they did not all deliver the goods. I have read about some user-interfaces, that made the room in my head bigger than any studio ... trying to dial in wall material (wich isn't linear anyway) ... whooops, where did my brain run of to?
Anyway, in my mind it matters less, if it actually does acomplish this huge task. The important thing is, if it sounds good/usefull.
