no need to shout Eric - didn't you remove your own insult (a poor man without work who cannot afford plugins and is jealous) from the respective post yourself ?

[edit]

I've messed the posts, so cut out the wrong quote to keep it shorter
thanks, piddi

you may have noticed that I left the first post which contains all the fact, their sequence and the reason why I found your reaction unacceptable.
You represent a company here and your treatment of my person was as unprofessional as one can imagine.
From
your side it doesn't matter if I'm right or wrong. In Germany a proverb says that 'a customer is king', in Japan he's even considered a god...

It's up to
you as a company to clear any situation related to your product and always stay in control in a polite way.
This is a much stronger position than your emotional outbreaks.
We, and in particular
you are not on stage here - this is business.
Your business btw, not mine.
I have almost all Scope 3rd party devices and I'm well informed about sales figures - a good part of these 4000 posts you laugh about were arguments for people
to buy plugins and not just talk around.
I know how small your plugin business is.
I would
never write anything to put that down.
If I were sarcastic I would add that it's not necessary...
There is always a lot of talk here about new releases, but when it comes to pay for things they all run away.
Except a few enthusiasts addicted to sound who will buy anything (if it sounds good).
Honestly Eric, I'm a professional software developer for 25 years and I once considered Scope DP myself, until I saw the sales figures of plugins - no, thanks.
This topic is actually very, very simple.
You don't read much in english, and you didn't even read my posts correctly - you just picked out some words and your brain suggested 'hey, that's offensive'.
Possibly influenced by experiences in other forums ?
Whatever it was, you didn't take my observation about the sound problems of the demo serious, because you thought I was a troll - 4000 post, nothing to do etc.
The same observation by KWild was taken serious, because he had less posts, is a producer etc.
That different treatmeant of 2 persons is all this thread is about - and it's contained in that one single post at it's beginning.
This type of treatment IS inacceptable as a customer relationship of a company.
And for that reason it is posted here.
It has nothing to do with you as a person or any of your artistic abilities.
You don't need to fall in love with me but take the business advices serious.
I've learned that stuff - half on the sales front - half in expensive courses
Unless you understand about that, I will never post anything in context with DAS again, and I've already removed ALL my contributions in any such thread.
This is not a personal affair, I don't need an excuse and I don't want to win over someone. Maybe the following helps:
I will never forget that Saturday morning when a man in leasure clothes, even a bit dirty, and 3 children entered our (computer) shop and asked this and that, the children playing meanwhile as children do...
Dear Eric, what would you have done ?
Follow your first impression (or prejudice) and try to get rid of him, as you have better and more important stuff to do ?
You'll probably guess the bottom line...
3 days later my collegue (who had talked to the customer as polite and patiently as always) said 'do you remember the guy in Addidas with the 3 kids ? I have a date with him, he's the CIO of a 500 mill. company and considers us for supply
That's all you need to understand.
If there are language difficulties I'll try it in french - if it doesn't make any sense at all for you might consider a book about that part of business relationship and public image
cheers, Tom
