I was really responding to this assertion that the current imperialism we're seeing is driven by religion. To me, to say this is simply wrong on so many levels that I can't even begin to go into it any more than I have already.

I did not mean to say that all atheists follow the same rationale. It is not a 2-way equation and I never said it was. All I said is that the actions of these governments (and actually those of the fundamentalists) is way more atheist than religious in terms of ideology. As in its more along that end of that particular relationship scale. I realise this could be misunderstood.

I don't agree, in terms of ideology it's rather religious, or because of the explicit mention of god or because it's explained in terms of abstract values and, expecially in regards to war and immigration, the "us vs. them" approach is used.
The majority of western governments have serious limitations on freedom of research, gay marriages and several other civil rights, as imposed by the religious lobbies.
The few that have an atheist approach on these issues like Zapatero's Spain and U.K. for what I know are way better for me on these issues.

I would really like to have atheist politics, based on a bigger value given to happiness on earth....religions would be better if not politically relevant and lived as individual spiritual developement.

To each thing its goals.

Alfonso - to clarify, I don't equate atheism with a lack of morality. One of religion's functions is to teach morality, so if you get there by any other means then great. I have absolutely no problem with that at all.

Religion is very complex in order to reflect how complex moral issues can be. The bible like the koran is full of many paradoxes. However a book is a book, doctrine is doctrine. The only thing that manifests any of these things into anything tangibly real is how an individual interprets it.

The problem is that people get caught up in the stuff around it, and not the central substance of what it is trying to say. Religion is only a means to guide a person towards self-awareness. Anyone who tries to sell it to you as anything else is trying to control you.

Thou Shall Not Praise Any Pagan Gods Like John Bowen, Or SpaceF.

Yes GaryB, see what you missed last time. You will meet all of her fucked up family during Thanksgiving. Her parents are great, but her brothers and sisters are all derelicts, who wish to squat at my crib as if it were the land rush in Oklahoma during the late 1880's.

She hates sand on her ass, except when I ask to come back as a wisk broom in my next life.

Well I love Disneyworld w/ a laptop. This is great. I have an excuse not to go on the long rides. I just watch and talk to my bros as the little fuckin' devils have a blast. I love to see children have fun, as it keeps me young and happy. I suffer from immaturity and would not want it ant other way. I will post some pics of the parade instead of wilma. But I miss her so, and must have pics of her on hand in case of a jack attack, during phone sex with her.

Peace To All Of My Bros @ the Z,
hubird

I hope so... :-D
last page isn't readable at all by extreme width.

There's hope, not alone from adult females, see the hope in her eyes ;-)
( a photoshoped pict of the daughter of one of my (girl)friends; scoll the picture to the right so that it borders the right of the browser window)

It is truly a beautiful thread now. I wish I had a camera right now, for there is a beautiful Brazilian lass here at the party that has the sexiest voice. She has a child that is so beautiful, that I wish I had a camera. I must buy a cellphone with one to show such beauty. And you have a beautiful child Hubird. Does anyone here speak Portugese? I will coax her over to my laptop and maybe she has a camera. I am learning to be prepared at these fun little hotel parties. It's great, children and adults. Damn I wanna get naked, if I could just put these little terrorists to sleep.

who said it's a girl?
strange that you can see that so clearly with only the face showing, not?
SFL, it's not my child, wish it was as the mother would have been my wife,
which is a stunning beauty of 37 years old

I start looking like an old sentimental frustrato, isn't it
I really love Photoshop, check out the original (flashlight) picture (not by me),
there's not much reason to worry about camera settings when taking a picture if you see this:

BMH,
Does Photoshop clutter up the HDD's very much. Being an old ancient Scope bastard I am getting sentimental and wish to archive all music and photos before I lose them. I'm talking of my great great grandfathers cappiatones and all of my fathers and relatives. I do have room for extra HDD's and would probably need one I'm sure. Pictures in my head will eventually fade away, and these must be saved.
I think sharing pictures is great also, you get to see who's making the post.
I would really like to see a picture of Shroomz. Don't ask me why I don't know, I think because of his name maybe. We all have this ability now with the forum upgrade. I just had a brainstorm of an idea. Gotta Go.
