It makes sense...release it on Monday...get prepared for the huge task of upgrading a ton of users...generating keys for those who need them, technical install issues...etc. etc

OR...let the downloading begin tonight...let the server take the beating over the weekend, and then??

Would be nice if I could do the update during the weekend. Due to running projects on workdays I wouldn't have much time to fiddle thing out.

I'm still waiting for that newfangled doohickey that's supposed to plug into the expansion port on the back of my A16 Ultra. And I'm still waiting for the hourglass to disappear. Been like 6 years now.

this thing (I am waiting for as well) never made it into real life.

Too bad it's 32 bit. That's going to hurt sales IMHO.

In a related story Time Warner is selling AOL. I guess nobody wants to use dial-up anymore. Duh!

It's about music but Scope isn't the only software in the world but anyway I hear that 64 bit drivers will be available for the Scope 5 so I am happy. As soon as I pay off my credit cards. I assume the free version of 4.5 doesn't count for the upgrade like they said before. Maybe I can figure out a way to get the driver out of it.

yes, its an identical file which can be used in an identical way (like being imported by the installer when setting up), but is stored in the App/Bin directory of your scope folder.

ProTools HD cards and the ProTools 8 software don't have Vista 64 bit drivers either.. It didn't hurt sales that much, and it doesn't seem to be critical for the industry.
