If you up for updating stuff atm, so far LBH X1 seems perfect apart from P2 does not open the panel it’s connected to.
Also, are there any main presets for these devices?

There is only LBH VIII presets, and they can be loaded in LBH-LE through the "Patterns" preset list. If you have an old version of blackBox II, you may be able to load the presets through the main preset list.
I've uploaded the LBH VIII list, and the conversion as Pattern list for LBH-LE.
So you should be able to load a few oscillator and filters, and browse the Patterns list to check the rythms and melodies.
Also, it only loads lines 5 and 6 of an LBH VIII, because that's where you get the highest probability of a cool bass+melody (as lines 1-4 are often rythm). so results may vary but can be a starting point.
Save your own presets in the main preset list.
