oups...yes the "Side" explanation was on another forum !
The "Side" button activate the internal sidechain which change the response of the compressor (less sensitive to bass frequencies). It's inspired(a little...)by the circuitry of the Focusrite Compounder.
And yes, the first big knob is the Input Level and the second one the output level (There's a small pop-up help if you stay over the knobs with the mouse)
Best regards,
Loup

I've been using the comp quite a bit lately and it's really good. But I've sometimes encountered what seemed like phase problems when using it as a master insert on the STM24/48 mixer. I tried to recreate it just now but now it seems fine. I'm pretty sure I've had major changes in the stereofield sometimes when using it like this. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi,
What kind of setup do you have ? Do you own multiple-boards configuration or only a single one ?
Maybe a wrong DSP distribution between the different boards could be the cause of your problem...
Best regards,
Loup

GRRREAATT DEVICE!!
First track sounds PRO-LEVEL.
Don't know Vinco/Optimaster results but d-comp sounds very natural.

In my opinon it's the best sounding comp for creamware. But I didn't check the vingo until now.
It's interessting: the best CW stuff is for free...
Yes, I would like a small version. I'm not interessested in good looking surfaces.
They only comsume space on the screen an CPU power for animation.
Make it so small as you can. Only the knops and a little "d-comp" logo.
And what ever can be improved: Use of DSP power. I not only need good sounding devices, I need good sounding devices with less DSP power comsuming. I want to like run lots of them. 32 track mixes etc.

Everybody does. But remember that quality means sometimes more power demand. I wouldn't change anything in the device
