I appreciate that from CW!

Dont we have copyright on our quotes?
Hmm, maybe we can bribe them to lower the prices by threatening a class action law suit

I've seen comments that minimax eats a lot DSP...anynone care to enlighten me on how much "a lot" is?

A Luna card (3DSPs) is enough for a mono Minimax only

They didn't ask me anything! :???:

And this Minimax that I bought is still bugged!

And no answer about a bugfix on creamware.de forum!

What is this manufacturer, who releases only bugged apps!?

C'mon Creamware, BE SERIOUS!!! Respect the users, holly shit!!!

In one week, it will be two months since the Minimax was released.

And still no bugfix nor answer.

What can I say?

I bought it. I made advertisements for it. I push other users to buy it and they did so. Creamware uses what I wrote about the Minimax for their advertisements.

Am I an idiot?

Is a bugfix for the Minimax so difficult to make that they even can't talk about it? What's the matter?

What a pity!

if it's the sample rate thing, that'll be addressed in 3.1c ,out in a week or two...

I can understand it, but why they don't say nothing?

Very, very bad communication...

And there is two samplerates things, not one: one generalist samplerate thing for SFP3.1a and one samplerate bug for the Minimax ("big module do not fit").

I know, that the first samplerate thing (the sillyest one) is solved with SFP3.1c ("in two weeks", they said; count a little more that one month). But for the second, that doesn't allows the Minimax to work at 48kHz with Scope cards (fortunately I haven't a Scope card, I just can't work with it at 96kHz), they said nothing. Nothing!

Except that the Minimax is the best softsynth in the world...I would agree for that if there wasn't this UNSERIOUS bug.

I'm on there too, they didn't ask me! I sent them an email about it, saying it's kind of rude to use people's words without asking for conscent, but that they could use it anyway if they wanted to.

Grok, it is because Creamware has been on vacation with reduced staff for the past two months (usual for them in summer). They should be getting back to you shortly, if not, you can always send them another email.

Thank you, Sub'!

Ingo gave us the answer this morning: fixed with SFP3.1c.

btw. this was the reply I got from CW:

Dear M. van Haren,

first of all thank you for your enthusiasm about our Minimax synthesizer!
We appreciate that a lot!

Of course you're right: it would have been nicer to contact the people who
gave these statements before quoting them on our website. Unfortunately
sometimes things have to happen fast and also in this case we simply did
not have the time to contact all the guys out there and wait for their
feedback. I hope you'll undestand that.

Thanks again for letting us use your statement as well!

Greetings,

Nikolai Brengelmann
Senior Product Manager

just bought the minimax .
I've to say that I am really impressed
one : the sound is really close to the really thing ( the closer I've ever heard)
two : the synthesis possibilty ! like the real thing with this one you can make a huge quantity of differrent sounds .
so it's the synth to have in this more and more powerful platform ...

"Big Modules do not fit" issue at 96kHz and/or 48kHz

Ingo -Creamware gives the following advice in creamware.de' DSP forum to begin to solve this issue:

"Please try to add the following lines to your CSET.INI and let us know if this works for you:

[dsp]
maxsynccycles=1200
maxasynccycles=0

Ingo,
CreamWare"

With my system, it allows to use the Minimax at all samplerates; "Big Modules do not fit" still appears with some projects, and sometimes doesn't appear with the same projects. With SFP3.1c RC2.

Much better! Thank you Creamware for this incredible softsynth, I now believe that the final SFP3.1c will be great!
