Has someone else bought the Absynth2?
I wait for the registration code, NI says this will work automatic after few minutes via an e-mail.
Otherwise Ab2 will last for 30days and closes then.
What are your experience with the update or fresh purchase?
Ab2 sounds delicate they put many strange german stuff in the new Absynth.
A track will be ready soon.

I like the tuba, too.
They put stuff like granular sampling and tempo sync in the Absy2. All sounds really electronic now, Absynth has his own sound.
Maybe they put one of those Berlin bears into Absynth.

Great zoo in Berlin - excellent view of the big cats, but perhaps the cages seemed a bit small.
But I was horrifed when I went to the "kangaroo" area (which in fact contained wallabies, NOT kangaroos), and a little german boy ran over pointing at the wallabies in great excitement saying: "Mutti, Mutti ! Englishen Ratten !"
English rats !?

Yeah,
it was an attempt by the British government to sort out the rat infestation problems.
Instead of taking the easy option of employing people to sort them out, they had a 3 year research programme to waste millions of pounds of taxpayers monies. Then they came up with a wonder drug to mutate all rats to a size that:
1: They wouldn't fit in the sewers and
2: They became easier to spot for shooting and
3: The meat was very low cholestorol for consumption.
It didn't really work too well so we rounded them all up and sent them to the Southern hemisphere.

That´s true, we tried the same here with our pigeons. One had the idea to mutate the pigeons to something that can´t fly away.
It was a big disaster, most of the pigenos were transformed to big fat pigs.
But we also had pig/pigenos hybrids, one of them was seen over an old english powerstation, somewhere in London I think.
The biggest problem though, were the pigs that fall out of the sky because they can´t fly anymore.
The city took heavy damage but after all we solved the pigenos problem and now we have many new houses.

For the bear sound (=Made in Berlin signature) I'd recommend a bear filter, anywhere available outside Berlin.
Some of these filters work excellent, esp. the ones made in Dresden (SEKD).
More germanics could be filtered by using any available knob for 'tolerance'.
For some cases a notch filter must be used, not easy to set the locators, but very useful.
NI is probably trying to open the market for "Volksmusik" (=these famous pieces to support
bavarian breweries to raise their output)? Maybe they think absynth and beer build up perfect harmony?
