hi,
i know, this has been asked a few times before but I cant´t find a solution for me.
i bought a new mainboard and a new processor:
Asus P4 P 800
Intel P4 2.4 800 FSB
my problem in hyperthreading-multiporozessor mode:
audio-crackles @ all ulli-settings
i tryed to change the mode to standard pc and same issue.
only a fresh install in standard pc mode sloved this problem an everything is running fine with 4ms lantency @ 44.1.
but how can i benefit from hyperthreading with sx 2.0 when my system runs only in standard pc mode?
how can i get it work in acpi-multiprocessor-mode without crackles??
thnx

SFP does not support Hyperthreading.

hi again,
in the rme-news group I read, that the g550 grafic-card causes crackles in hyperthrading multiprocessor mode with nuendo2.
could this be problem?
any g550 users here with ht and acpi multipro enebled??
is there an other grafic card with dual head suppport that doas no cause crackles in ht mode?

HT is new technology. G550 and SFP originate from the days before HT existed. So how can you expect it to work just because SX 2.0 supports it?

It is funny:
I am working with Adobe Premiere 6.5 and this software supports HT. So Encoding with this Mode is much more faster than single Processor Mode. OK.
But recording via the analog inputs (mme-pulsar play/rec 1/2) results crackling. In ASIO or my DAT as MASTER is clean!
What's that???
So I can't use Premiere without benefits of HT and use SFP in this mode which wastes my potential of the 3.06 GHz!!!
So strange so I hope that CreamWare increases the speed of SFP 4.0!!!
BTW: why is my Modular missing DSP-Files "Midi Filter One" at opening ST-3000 and "Pitch-Modulator 2LCR5" at opening Modular 2???
Does anyone know this problem?
Thanx for help!

does using "standard pc" stop hyperthreading from working?
if so..

I thought the solution was to just disable HT in your BIOS? Ok, you miss the extra performance, but can someone confirm they have a working setup when HT is disabled?
Thanx,
