Go away!

Sorry but I hate these talent searches that only put money in the producers' pockets...

The most commercial topics here are usually from a developer who releases a new device

Hey the judge has worked with LFO - cool, love the new album Sheath (old skool techno)... oh not that LFO. Well he can f**k off then - Celine Dion indeed.

Nice to see your first post here is a Pop Idol-alike competition.

Spam for tea anyone? (Sings: Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam... wonderful Spam...)

Thank you for your offering, but this has never been a truthful search.

The problem is that you search for “money” and not for talented people… When really talented people “knock” your door, you usually close it because good music is rarely sold… Most good music is listened at by musicians or musician’s friends… then there are a few thousand people dispersed in the world looking for something different, and good music may have a chance… with a lot of good luck nevertheless…

Unfortunately, your talent search “always” means “good looking boys and girls”, i.e., sexually appealing people, and it doesn’t matter if they just are not capable of singing a note in place nor in tune!

I personally know fat singes that sings incredibly well, but they have never been taken seriously because they are fat! There is a boy here in Chile, with a voice that is just too much, he sings like an angel truly fantastic, but unfortunately for him, he’s in a wheel chair… so no chance. People listened him and though: “what a fantastic voice”, this leads to invite him to a special reception, and when in TV, produces realised he was far from being sexually appealing, so bay-bay “Angel’s Voice”, you cannot pertain to the successful cos you are ugly!

When somebody has something to offer, you want to get it into your pocket, and if it is a real talented person, you would “gently suggest” for him to change his mind, and devote himself to a different kind of music, lets say………….. commercial rubbish?

With all my respects, I have to agree with Paul Martin.

So is the space here, Miss Exploiter....

I am very worried about the state of the industry because of its tendancy toward pedophilic voyeurism. Up and coming singers are invariably very young girls with little talent and lots of curves. Celine Dion is the ugliest woman on earth and even I have to admit to her superiority as a singer( I can't stand her...)

As to the money in the producers' pockets, here in Quebec some top producers started "Star académie"(same crap Amy is offering). This is a reality show that shows the "contestants" taking snging and dancing lessons, eating and sleeping in a condo up north, blah, blah, blah. They put together a website where it cost $10.00 to sign up. 50% of the province was absolutely enthralled with this phenomenon and most signed up. That'a 3.5 million people at $10.00 an head!! Do the math and wonder why the winners don't have an album out by now.( Star Épidémie 2 is coming out soon... shit)

Hey c'mon guys. We could win a chance to record a 3-song demo valued at $15,000.

I don't know what studio is charging $15,000 for a 3 song demo but I'd be happy to record a 3 song demo for all the losers for $100.

Paul, we have the same pitiful reality 'talent' shows here in the UK... totally soulless crap but presented with fit young beautiful girls and boys.

In my humble opinion, these kinds of reality shows are far more detrimental to the industry than MP3s ever will be: the fact is that the vast majority of people are happy with this meaningless mediocrity as it's 'good enough for them', and when this shit is piped into your homes 24/7 (yes, here on cable TV they show this stuff pretty much non-stop) then where the hell is the incentive to go out and buy any music, let alone try and listen to something challenging, original or different (God forbid...) ?

Guess now how many legendary singers and performers would be rejected by today's "standards" of looks and/or comercial restrictions???...

We had a talk about this shit once before. I don't remember, if it came from someone, who wanted to scam our money, or if it was a MEMBER, who just took up the subject.
Information for new readers: A forum member named Braincell is known for spreading lies and malicious information without even knowing the basics of, what he is talking about. If noone responds to him, it is because he is ignored.

Well, I think theres only a slightly better chance of Amy91283 being a woman than this lovely hottie who recently joined the pulsar-scope mailing list:

I agree, the only, the very only woman, may be a sweet youngster who got a CW card from her dad and hopes to find support here with all the cracks about how to do this contest...not having a clue about the big world and the big bussiness...?
In any case I've heard here on planets rather 'commercial' music, never saw so mutch heavy comment as with this first planetz woman.
It was even me who put the question of commercial producers music once, with one of the posts in the music forum, and I didn't see so mutch support for my words then.
(I didn't see it was a female name btw, when I posted the crying smyley).
