Hi,
1) Where do the 'Merge' and the 'container' come from? I can only get them from copying an XTC project that already exists.

2) My XTC.pro is broken and will not load into SFP without this exception:
method SetDynParent in class App@SimpleAppNotFound.

This is the ONLY XTC project that works, but I cannot edit the I/O's and therefore it is useless. This is the DEFAULT XTC.pro supplied with SFP3.1c

3) All the sample XTCproject.pro supplied from anywhere, including the ones I have copied/edited simply do not work in either CubaseSX or Logic 5.5, getting this *really* annoying error:

A Capacity limit of your DSP cards
Capacity limit reached
and of course all button selections on this dialog simply cause the ASIO drivers not to load, making audio app useless.

This is ridiculous as I have 21 dsp's and the only project loaded is the XTC project which is all IO!

I have tried 16 and 24 and 32 bit ASIO 2 IO all to no avail...
Needless to say, running SFP3.1c with maxed out DSP is perfectly OK in Cubase & Logic. JUST NO XTC...

Can anyone supply any useful help here?
Has anyone met this bugbear before?
I have tried GonZofts example - no good.
Please no "well it works for me" responses

several points here, keep it cool and you'll get xtc soon...

1: I always have been loading/editing the XTCproject.pro (I never could open XTCpro.pro) and here it's working

2: In my Cset.ini the 2 entries [hw]numboards were =1 and since I changed to =2 no more DSP overload (pulsar+luna here)

3: Other problem I'd found/made was the inconvenient placement of *.dev effects and plugins in SFP and also *.dll in VSTplugs/Xtc whose generally cause Asio scope not to load in SX

please, give it one week (maybe two, if you'll want to search many good tips over Z)to get XTC running 100% as I can get it now!

Hi & thanx Zezappa,
The 'cset.ini'is an interesting file.
I can find nothing in the documentation except occaisional references to the obscure entries. It would better serve the community if this file was fully explained insofar as labels and enumerations.

[hw]
Numboards=2

made no difference - No DSP placement!
Now where can I find the ready error message reckoner? NOWHERE.

I have found various 'xtc.ini' files in the VSTPlugins subdirs that reference XTC.pro
Changing it made no difference.

Now I find that no XTC project works at all.
I have re-installed SFP and Cubase and Logic more times than I care to. How busted can this get? This is supposed to be a professional tool???
For what profession? Software Engineer?

[chilling out now...]

how about simply copying the XTC.pro file from cd instead of always installing the whole software? To me it worked, because sometimes my xtc.pro went broken in case of things I really dunno...
