I think a 'Best Of 2003' users poll would be fun. Anything Creamware related of course.

Honestly though, this was a tremendous year for Creamware devices! Synths like Solaris, Prodyssey - FX such as SpaceF echo and even freebies like KickMe.

A huge *Thank You* to all the developers who continue to push and improve this platform.

Franctly i find it very hard to make a choice. but if i need to do it then my personal top 3 of 2003 will be as follows:

1. Minimax
2. Flexor
3. Mod III

I think that what creamware have done with the minimax is unbelievable. It sounds so great that i find myself using it in every project i do. So that makes it the winner of 2003 for me.

I keep hearing about the Minimax. I would love to have one if they lower the price. I'm saving my money for the Nord Modular because it seems to have much more bang for the buck.

Flexor I agree is a must have for the CW modular and a great price.


Mod III ? You have got to be kidding. I was disapointed with this. It seems more like something you would get with an SFP upgrade and should have been free or they should charge for the platform upgrades and include the moog rather than just giving the crappy synths for free. Enough with the free bad or okay synthesizers I have plenty of those. I only want excellent ones from now on.

well, i respect your opinion about the mod iii. but if you understood the possibilities of what the mod iii makes possible, i think you would change your mind.

I'm using the mod iii to make my own midi arpegiators. I also use the extra gate options like compareAB and compare AX a lot. Not even to mention the extra lfo's Mod III gives you. But to really appreciate the real power of this extra modules you need to dive a lot deeper in modular synthesis. And this is exactly what i'm doing.

So, Yes! modular III on the 3 place in my personal favorite list.

One thing more, sorry but i can't vote for Mod III because i'm not use it, but i own, soon i come to use

I'm so sorry not to be able to judge clearly, cos I don't have any of the new devices and don't have the posibility to own any for quite a lont time I guess.

I would like to encourage ALL developers and of course, Creamware as well, buying their stuff, but unfortunately and fortunately too, I'm starting a new life, have a wife to feed and take care of, so it is difficult.

Nevertheless, by what I've heard, Mimimax and Flexor would be my choice as well.

Hope to be able to have them one day...

I don't forget mod3, but lack of time to work with it, has prevented me from buying Flexor....time will come

The Virsyn stuff is something I just read
about and am getting into the demos. The
ability to do additive synthesis based on
partials, and then being able to apply a
different filter to each of those partials...
that is mind blowing stuff, at least to me...

Ok, here are mine (I use these - there are for shure other excelent devices out there, wich I do not use) in order of release:

a) 100vu (j9k) Superb device for making shure, that my ears do not lie to me.

b) KickMe (Adern) The Kick drum I missed for so long.

c) sf-Single MIDI Insert (SpaceF) I realy like to be able to blend the flawor of devices with no wet/dry controlls - and now it comes in an insert version too - and an XTC version it seams.

d) Flexor (Adern) I have not gotten much into it yet, as I have not had time for the Modular learning curve yet.

e) Echo2m (SpaceF) I get so many musical ideas from using this device.

f) Tempo calc (counterparts) This one realy helps me a lot keeping a flow, instead of changing the total mood of the song, while searching for (and forgetting) the tempo.
