Hi there Pulsarians ....

I am going to install my new Scope SRB for the first time. As I am relative new to use the XTC functionality, any hints are welcome.

My machine:
Asus P4C800 Deluxe-E
P4 3GHz 800 FSB
2 GB DDR400 ram
74 GB 10k rpm WD raptor (system & programs, samples)
36 GB 10k rpm WD raptor (for audio)
3x UAD-1
1x TC Powercore FireWire
1x Motu 828 mk II
1x Nuendo I/O

Nuendo for sequencing, some VSTI's etc

I know the topic has been up some times, but I guess I'm a bit lazy, apart from that, as hardware & software progress fast nowadays, it could be new experiences ....

I am also wondering about the use of HT when using XTC, is it different from when running the Creamware cards with I/O?

I had Pulsar II in the machine before this, together with 2x TC Powercore01 working with ACPI & HT on.

In any way, thanks in advance for any advice

I hope you still have your p2 card. SRB does not come with any software. It is pure power and needs to run with a partner, that has the brains (p1, p2, luna, xtc, ps, pp, elektra, scope).

Hi jea.
I just built my PC around a P4C800e board. I have a Scope & PulsarSRB board in slots 1 & 5, working great. I guess that leaves 2, 3 and 4 for your UAD cards. Good luck with that.

I don't use HT, from what I read the limited (if any) benefit isn't worth the config hassles.

Immanuel, are you sure of this?

I thought it was possible to use it in XTC mode?
I want to use the I/O of Motu 828 mkII.

I am 90% shure. SRB is not a stand alone card. Sorry

You could transfer the Software reg from your Pulsar 2 which would allow installing it to the Scope board.

This have been done.
But I have another problem.
SFP is starting, I close it, starts Nuendo, but can't load any instruments/effects.
I get errors.

ok, u prolly just have to reload the vstis. dont remember how u do it, have a look in the help file. u can then activate/deactivate vstis.

I have done that, and when I do that it comes up for each plugin the serialnr for each plugin/vsti.

If I start SFP it works there, I can load the plugins in the routing window without a problem.

I have not tested with any audio yet though, but no error messages there.

I'm a bit confused what to choose when I install, if I install as Pulsar XTC, I get only 10 DSP's....

If I install as Scope, I get 15 DSP's, but nothing works as it should.

And it is accepting the allkeys file.

I don't know what to do now.

Perhaps take the I/O off one of the Pulsar II's and mount it on the Scope SRB?

Maybe it will work then, I don't know.

Then I will loose some flexibility according to my plan.

Someone here know what's wrong?

..... feeling a bit desperate now....

I mounted the I/O plate from a Pulsar II on the Scope card, and it worked great!

What's missing from the Scope card is the little plug that's plugged in the Syncplate I/O connector .... without this, no XTC function together with another soundcard....

Waiting for the plug to come from Germany!

Btw, Ralf at Creamware, thank you so much!
