On start up the icon of Sfp does not appear at the bottom of screen and i cant get into the Sfp by desktop either. The card still works ok with all other music programs and hardware properties are working properly. Sx registers asio scope. Do i uninstall and re-install again. What may have cause this? I first thought it may be loading as a Xtc project but cant gain xtc in Sx.

Thanks

If SFP's ASIO drivers can be accessed, it's running. If you can't spot it in the tray, find it in Task Manager. Force-close it (turn speakers down!).

Can you open the SFP program now? Open the StartUpProject.pro. Does that work? If it gives any pop-ups, fix them and re-save that project.

If that doesn't work, I'll have to think again

If you're on a PC, is it appearing in task manager?.....
Just a stab in the dark, but try quitting SFP from there and reopening it....
You can always go into the main SFP folder to do this by finding the exe. file (SFP icon)

Ok my computer is playing games with my brain... As in the first post, lost the icon but all other music software is working. Fix the problem as stated in the above posts, but i needed to do that procedure everytime if needed. I was so comfortable wiht everything working without the icon down below i didnt worry about the lost icon and was happy with sfp sitting in the Task Manager..

Now on start up it has come back to the bottom of the screen and all the music programs are not functioning properly, wanting to send error reports to Microsoft...

It has done this at the worst possible time as i was putting a original promotional demo cd together for tomorrow nights gig...Aarrgh

How can i make it dissappear just for a day..

Did you try opening StartProject.pro and resaving it? Does StartProject ask to locate a device or so? Locate it, and save the project. In tray mode, pop-ups don't show and the project might not be loaded well.

If that doesnt work, to disable tray mode:
SFP > Set [Scope Settings] > Projects > De-activate startup project

Thanks Atomic, i could not find StartProject.pro, i was looking in the examples section and even type it in the directory, no luck. I wasnt sure if NewProject.pro was maybe what i was suppose to look at... So what have done is unistalled and re-installed again and it is working...phew, got my demo project finished for the gig. I wont be back on sfp till next week to see outcome.

Thanks again
