midi keyborad routing

I have just got my new midi keyboard and want to use the synths from creamware.Since recording in Sx 1, shall i be using the XTC mode or should i be loading the synths in the routing window of SFP as a different new project? At first i was unable to work the midi keyboard in XTC mode in Sx, there was signal and responsing pefect but no sound.

XTC has bigger latency, so try "normal mode" ...
