hi folx,

again i gathered informations...
this time about this shop bug (buying multiple devices for the half price regardless of the board amount)

Bad news: Creamware knows that bug for a while now and this will be fixed soon (probably tomorrow).

Good news: They don't punish the users who got more devices than allowed through this way. Ralf said that it is CW's fault and the users shall not be harmed for using this bug in any way. Buy through this method as long as possible... It's somewhat ok to do that but also think about harming CW with buying all their stuff for the half price...

Cheerz,
GenocidE

That's why CW won't do anything against it... It's just a question of morality
Nevertheless they sell Devices like hell at the moment.. wondering why

the story about the bug, that became a feature

All we ever want is more
A lot more than we had before
So take me to the Creamware store

Can you hear it ring
It makes you wanna sing
It's such a beautiful thing Ka-ching!

cheers, Tom (never expected to slightly quote Shania Twain once...)

If i was cynical i might believe that this bug was actually a marketing ploy to get people in a frenzy to spend a load of money that they wouldn't have ordinarily spent

i just got Vectron, MasterVerb Pro and Vocodizer. i actually only have two 'legit' registrations but i do have a SCOPE SRB, so i thought a tiny purchase (Vocodizer) would be morally and financially acceptable. Of the other CW stuff i would probably only get Interpole and PsyQ now anyway as i don't want Prodyssey or the older CW synths (will these ever get updated?) and have just about everything else.

I wondered how long it would take them to notice, I firstly bought B2003 and then Interpole the 2nd time. At the beginning of the week.

In all honesty I wouldn't have bought Interpole if the bug hadn't have existed, so they got money out of me they wouldn't usually of done on both plugins.

So the way I see it its kinda good for Creamware, the plugin frenzy should give Creamware a shot in the arm moneywise.

It was described in this thread
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... tart=20&32

I was gonna post about it but then thought that encouraging others to take advantage of a Creamware bug (depending if you see it that way) is more wrong that exploiting it yourself.

Like the people that found out that a Cash Machine/ATM was giving out free money in the UK, they got money out of it, then told everyone else. And the bank lost thousands of pounds.
Only the people who found it originally were prosecuted on the grounds that telling everybody instead of informing the bank was more wrong than stealing the money. And if they had informed the bank no action would have been taken.
Everyone else got off scot free.

ya, particularly in this situation, it makes it really tough on CWA. I'll be happy with 1 plugin for 2 boards. So much for waitin' eh? hehe.

Seems Ralf has fixed the bug. Ah well, I still have my two unregistered boards just waiting to be registered as soon as my economical situation allows me to spend money on more synths.

Hm. . . Minimax and. . . . Prodyssey? Or something else. . .

I´ll probably develope the same kind of consumer anguish that Samplaire had a couple of days ago when he couldnt decide on whether to buy the Zarg Ambient or the Minimax, hehe.

One 50% plug-in per board, not including SRBs though

If you get support by email, usually in the end it says something like 'This information is strictly confidential'.

I don't know how they deal with phone conversations tho...
