It is a drum generator ....
I have included a sound file in the RAR file

For me it is the best sounding analog style drums ... I tried to reproduce existing machine, for that I studied both the schematics (envelops, distortion ...) and original samples. It is very accurate.

For any questions ....

Do you think it is possible to make a standalone device ?
Just for less DSP usage ?

i'd like to give it a try, but my mac will probably go bananas on the .rar file

you might give adern's 'kickme' freebie a try. maybe it's not what you're after (can't comment on what your patch is like...)

It would be handy if all users posted zip files as not everyone has a rar expander (talking 'bout us Maccers).

I didn't know that Mac can't read RAR files ... I'll post a ZIP file this WE

Just to answer to Borg, I already gave a try to "kick me" ....

Oh yes, remember this ?
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... forum=17&5
It was my first attempt to reproduce a machine drum kick, well, the first is the real and the second is the fake ... Patch has been improved since ....

A bit of explanations :
The sound produced by this patch, contains all the integer harmonics (50,100,150,200hz...) due to the use of hard filtered saw (formator) plus triangle waves, and even between (50,75,100,125,150,175,200hz...) due to alias flexor oscillator set to "1" (true).
For comparation, the sound produced by "kick me" contains all odd harmonics (50,150,250hz...).
I included what I call the infrabass percussion which is the slew limited image of the amp envelop, it creates a "ball" of bass with the percussion just before the body, mix is made with a limiter. I also included lots of imperfections, unstability with noise generators on envelopps, asymetric distortion on waveforms by the use of diodes....
And so yes, character is completely different, now it is just a matter of taste.
And this patch DSP hunger is higher than "kick me" ...

Well many things to say about it, but what I really want to say is that this modular+flexor stuff is fantastic, sound is huge ... I think that we have the best modular system around (bugs are another story, didn't have so much anyway)

Nota : I use the spectral viewer included with cool edit (for sure the best)

I must be doing something wrong!!

For some reason I can't get anything out of it even though the indicator on the MIDI input module of the patch blinks as though it's receiving MIDI info.

I've set the MIDI channel of the patch to omni and still nothing.

Any ideas people?

I used a DVC set to note n°36 which is a C#1 or C#2 or C#3 or ... trig your keyboard range, sound should come.
