Is there anyone who uses mixing controllers (huston, Mackie control, HUI , Tascam US-2400 etc) in SCOPE mode in order to control the mixers of the platform ???
Especially the STM 4896 witch is the total and most complete mixer it would be very nice and enjoyable to use it via a mixing controller.
I would like to read your expiriences about this topic, as I 'm interested to buy a controller.

I use Tascam FW-1884, 'cause it have 4 layer of totally programable midi buttons, motorized faders, transport (for vdat).
Tascam us2400 look great, but doesn't map to midi, nor does mackie hui, and the likes.
For your information, there is one place to look actually, Behringer.
I already ear people saying Behringer? eurk!
Well think again, they have now a thing called BCF2000&BCR2000.
For 240€ you can have 9 motorized fader 8 endless encoders, transport, with total recal + adding 1 midi in and 2 midi out, all on usb. Provided with a nice PC editor and librarian.
This can control anything on SFP.
I think that for the money...can't beat that

there is a fantastic midi tool, called midi ox, (www.midiox.com ) that can transform the midi ctrls sent by these controllers via USB and send them to CW midi source ...
this soft recognise USB midi as well as CW virtual midi (midi seq source and dest ...)
This way , you can control STM with such hardwares .
concerning the US2400, that seems to be the best of them, i think it's not ready yet, in France, i'm sure it's not avaible yet !!!
Concerning the midification of STM and in general CW plugs, there is a big problem, it's that we only have one midi channel avaible !!! 127 ctrl# !
in fact, in CW,
Ctrlr 0 on midi chann 1 is the same as Ctrl 0 on midi channel 2 Ctrlr 0 on midi chann 3 is the same as Ctrl 0 on midi channel 4 etc ..
that's why i have developped a mixer with remote functions instead of CW concept !
