Is Minimax always monophonic or does it have polyphony?

I am confused by this part of the manual:

Single On
Forces the instrument to operate in single-
voice mode, regardless of how many
voices are actually currently loaded.
Guarantees proper performance of solo
sounds with portamento.

That's the only mention about voices (or, indeed 'loading them') anywhere in the manual. I am a bit confused as to exactly what this means...

you have to crank up the voices in the live bar.

as far as i can tell the solo button is for presetting a mono sound, without having to change polyphony.

Pretty good thanks. I invested in an IIyama 17" tft monitor very recently...it is soooo much easier to work in front of that than my CRT one! At £300 it's a real bargain.

And...another 0.5GB of RAM too (now less than half the price of the first half-gig lump I brought!)
