i have just reloaded my audio machine and installed SFP 4.0...

the graphics in SFP are terribly slow.

i have not run any windows updates, as this computer isn't connected to the internet.

i have the latest driver for my video card installed (Radeon 7500), but this makes me wonder if my old version of direct x (the one that comes by default with an XP SP1 install) could be the culprit, as i had Direct X 9 installed on the previous installation and did not have this problem.

what do you guys think? could this be it? if so, is there a place to get the Direct X 9 package as a .zip or something, so i won't have to go to all the trouble of getting the computer on the internet? i currently have no internet service at home at the moment, so it would invlove taking the computer somewhere (pain in the arse)...

it would be much easier to just get the package on a CD and install it from there.
