Hey guys, ive been away for a long while. Havent used any of my gear in over a year now. I was wondering how far XTC mode has come along.

I just picked up cubase SX3. Last I used XTC it was in its infancy and still had some nasty bugs. How well does it integrate into cubase these days compared to the original pulsar format?

To be honest, I much prefer to use the pulsar with cubase in xtc mode. The idea just seems so convienient. Any help or opinions would be really appreciated. Thanks

since pdc in sx came out, i've found xtc mode really quick to use and very stable. I couldn't stand it on vst and logic (preferred to use sfp) but now it's spot on.

I can't really comment on how things have changed in the past year because I've only had my pulsar since v4.0 came out.

However, I'm going to get SX3 soon (upgrading from sx2) and one of the things I am looking forward to is the external hardware support features which - as I understand it - should let me have most of the benefits of SFP mode with the conveniences of XTC mode. It will just take a little set up to assign hardware etc but seems like a small price to pay for access to Modular, Minimax, etc.
