Looking for suggestions on converting .wav to midi. I found http://www.intelliscore.net Edit: Might be me, but this one crashes my system.

Was wondering what sequencers have this function built in? Acid doesn't that I can see. Orion 5 has an "Export Song as Midi" function. Any other volunteers?

Orion's function doesn't convert WAV data to MIDI but score data to MIDI. Big difference.

Yamaha's XGWorks captures audio and "attempts" to convert it to MIDI. Also there is Music Master Works that also tries to do that. But if you understand how this process works, you will realize what a daunting task this is...

You can do it with Logic. Even the old
Win versions...

I use Akoff Music Composer. Works ok but you have to filter out some artifacts. Polyphonic on only one track though. Works well on guitar tracks but tricky to get the metronome speed correctly.

check out melodyne. the demo is, mmm, very useable. meaning, the restrictions are more in the track count, rather than the audio2midi thing... it's more like a functional lite edition.
it does great things to audio. some of the best stretching algos i heard.

From the product page:

Now you can export your audio as MIDI, with the musical parameters — pitch, dynamics, tempo, phrasing… — preserved.

Looks really cool.. gonna have to check this out! I never got round to checking out Melodyne properly.. looks like they've been developing it really nicely.

Thanks to all above. Andy, you tried to point me towards Melodyne before but I wasn't ready for true love.........Re: functional......analogue out only?

Looks a very sweet program.... but I've managed to crash it. I expect it's a smooth ride once you figure it out. (I tend to go ,"So what happens if I do .......")

Old Win version of Logic eh? Might check that too. Music Master....etc Cheers ...

Edit: I may have corrupted SFP from a crash.....causing more crashes...reinstall.
