Yes, with a couple of dsp´s or more and perhaps two mic preamps, just for mobile recording. I have a serious problem with that this summer...I can´t carry with my pc!
CW, please !!Think about that...
(P.D.: with ADAT and MIDI i/o. a16 is easy to carry on...and a really cool look!!!)

Imho, USB2 is not the way to go!
There is no "handshake" support for sync. signal transfer, e.g.

Yes,
i also confirm that it's really important that Creamware does an usb2/firewire interface option for a16ultra , option planned at the time when i purchased it!
I think now it's the right time to do that!

PS : what about doing a firewire driver for z-link protocol? Since it's a bit different from firewire, I guess that bypassing power pins, it should use a customized version of "standard" ieee1394 protocol...

Yes it would be good to see the A16-ultra become a little bit more than just a stupid (expensive) box.
