Midem 2006 Registration @ 50%Discount (500euro) till 24th O

Ok, Reed Exhibitions who run the world's main music industry trade event, 'Midem' are doing a special online offer for registration to the 2006 event in Cannes.

I've already mentioned Midem in another thread regarding distibution & the Midem 'bible' <a href="http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... 9">here</a>

Basically it's the place to be with a record label either as a participant with an Exhibition stand or trade visitor. If you want the chance to network, make distribution deals & party with companies from all over the world in one place, this is the place to be. I'm aiming for possibly 2007, but if you are fired up enough now, there's an online registration discount of 50% until 24th October. So it will only cost you 500euro+Vat to go as a visitor.

Exhibiting with a stand is very expensive but can be highly government funded.

No worries. Most people doing what we do don't know about Midem, although they probably should if they wish to build a succesfull record label.

In honesty, Cannes isn't really the glam' place it's portrayed to be by the film festival & cat walk fashion shows. In reality it's not very clean, it's expensive, accomodation in anything better than a hotel 'ibis' is extortionate, but the Midem event is a must & there are loads of free parties in the 'posh' hotels on the seafront & the general night life has a good buzz, which is nice

yeah i kind of have avoided to go there so far because of all the fuss generated by the film festival, the glamour and rich people vibe... not my cup of tea. But in this case (MIDEM) it would give me an opportunity to feel how i could promote my band, visit the place and get a good time. Very interesting
