ive been trying this out for fun lately:

"- save your mod patch (ex:flexosaurus) under devices/synth directory
- copy one of your synth.dll and rename it (ex: flexausorus.dll) I used prodissey.dll for this
- In your cset.ini, copy the line "modular= ..." from the path section to your XTC section"

even tho everything else works fine in XTC, i just cant get modular stuff to work. i get this error when i try to open a modular device:

what am i missing here?
i do seem to remember having done this before, a year back or so..and made it work, and that makes me even more confused. what am i forgetting?

Be sure that the synth dll you have to copy is from the xtc folder in the VST plugins (and is meant to stay in this folder after renaiming of course)...

same thing happens with KickMe! as well i just discovered. hm.. dunno what im missing here. a DSP file from the looks of it perhaps..?

edit: i DO have the VSTin.vxd file in my Vxd folder tho, wich should be the DSP file it is looking for, as well as the VSTout.vxd.
strange that it seems to be missing it.. it isnt Hidden or anything either.

aha!

i copied these files to /windows:
VSTin.vxd
VSTout.vxd
VSTsync.vxd

and rebooted.
now it works like before!
i still get this error that says:

nil reference on left side of '.' as a result of expression "<expr>()"

whatever that means..
at least im making progress here!

can anyone else that have the modular stuff working in XTC, check /windows for *.vxd, so i can see if there are any more i should copy in?

haha.. i was waiting for that comment.
i am however just using XTC mode for quickly sketchin down ideas. not that i have to make an excuse for using it tho, as i still use SCOPE to make music.

Ive seen the 'nil reference....' error
I usually get it when trying to switch presets in XTC or in scope

Does anyone know what it means or how to stop it

cheers

i have a thought bout that..
it could have something to do with modular having 4 outs, and the vsti wrapper only support 2 outs (stereo).
just a thought tho..
