Hi,
I'm new to the forum so first & foremost a big Hello

I've been looking at the various packages I would like some pointers.

I'm running a P4 3GHz 800 frontside bus with Logic 5.5 as my main sequencer. I use an RME Hammerfall soundcard & also a Powercore MKII as well.

Ideally I'd be buying the DSP card for the use of the Minimax & then buying either the Pro Tone or Prophet 5.

I don't need the outputs as I'd be running it all digitally.

Are there things I should know beforehand problems or compatability issues that I should be aware of?

How many voices would I expect to be able to use with the synths I mentioned?

Is it worth buying both the Sequential emulations or just go with the Prophet 5 & then switch it onto mono mode or is there more to it than that?

Any help would be greatfully appreciated as I really want to get one of the Scope range, but their website is a minefield with little explanation.

All the best
Jay

Sounds to me that you are using your hammerfall soundcard as the primary soundcard and now expect that you can run the Creamware-card alongside as you do with the Powercore? - If this is the case, I'm not sure that it's possible.
It's either the Hammerfall plus the Powercore or the Creamware card and the Powercore - Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Cheers!

You can route ADAT channels between them and do any type of routing within the Scope OS. You can try XTC mode (the Powercore-style VST interface) but it can be hard to get it behaving well and is very limited compared to what you could do by routing stuff through ADAT channels (one of the main drawbacks is no Modular synth action).

You will need to watch out for PCI load. Get a good stable Intel board or an Nforce3 AMD64 board.

If im not mistaken is there not a plug that can be installed that essentials bypasses the I/O of the scope card rendering it some what SRB like?

Would this still not work along side the RME? I thought about doing this aswell for myself at one point as I have a Lynx card doing nothing currently, but I have already to many card in my box so I have no more free slots unfortunately.

Cheers!
