Friends of mine start to program a new Sequencer in a way like the numerology.
http://www.five12.com/numerology.html

The question is, what do you miss on your sequencer host, what do you need or want.
Everything can help to build a new more perfect sequencer.

I´ll forward your thoughts and maybe we´ll get a new cool sequencer in the future.

wow, this system shouts techno machine.. A rig full of 16 steps and gates?

I have an idea for an addition to the 16 steps. It's been implemented in my techno-generator project.. anyway, I've done this thing called preset blending. You have 2 16 steps, A and B. There's another 16 step that has "live or die" threshold. Each step, a random number is chosen, checked against the "live or die" threshold. If the random number is more than the threshold, the value from A is used, if not, B. So you can sort of keep to A as a central idea, and control how much diversion you want using the "live or die" threshold. I have a patent on this stuff, but it's limited to Japan. ah what the hell. Let the world see it. hehe, it's a good idea.

Also, a random swing rate choice, and also per track swing rate assignment would be awesome. Then everything won't be in perfect sync.. usable for hiphop I guess.

Hey, an idea I just got.. how about "sampling" your own 16 step drum loop by playing it in with MIDI.. You can edit the parameters using the 16 sliders, but the signal is unquantized, or you can controll how much quantize is applied. So you represent the loop as a 16step with the sliders, but that doesn't mean the loop MIDI data is actually quantized in 16th beats. (just mapped to the nearest slider) The logicstics of how to record the loop may be a pain, but the idea sounds pretty "never before-seen". Or am I out of date?

Dual LFO is awesome. It's been standard in a lot of my mod synths for quite some time. Great to see a good idea make it into a product.
