Hi there, I try to link a focusrite octopre with my pulsar2 card but there's no synchronisation in the scope.
the scope system is in slave position, adat A is on but the red light don't turn on and there is no sample rate.
Is anybody who knows the octopre can help me?
thanx and sorry for my english.

be sure that on the sample rate settings "opt.adat" is checked, be sure that the adat cable is connected to "adat a" and not to "adat b", check if the focusrite hardware is sending a sample rate or if it's in slave mode.

i've forgot to mention that if you want to work in 96 khz with adat, you must have the s-mux option checked in the samplerate settings and if you don't see it, it's just because your hardware does not support it.

1. Make sure you connect the ADAT output of Octapre (has red light) to the input of ADAT A of your pulsar (has NO red light).

2. Make sure the Octapre is in Master clock (not slave word clock).

3. Make sure that the "ADAT Opt" is chosen, not "SPDIF Opt", in sample rate setting..

hi,
I don't know about focusrite, but can't you set your Scope to master?
for me that works the best.

If the input is done in analog, then it's no problem to set scope to Master. But if you want to record Digital from Octopre, then it's important to have ONLY 1 MASTER Clock in Digital chain. If scope want to be Master, then the Octopre need to slave digital clock from Scope. I only wonder because I guess that Octopre can only accept digital clock input by Word Clock only which pulsar 2 don't have the World Clock output. But if you can buy Word Clock option for pulsar, then it's good to have Octopre to slave clock from pulsar..

The Sync Plate card is sold by CW, it's connected to the audiocard with a cable, it takes a slot space although is not inserted in the pci slot.

I have my Pulsar II card to slave word clock from Apogee PSX-100 via word clock option for Pulsar since a few years ago. And it really make things sound better...

I think it's important to have the best as possible one digital clock master in digital workstation.. It really worth..
