what do you think of the possibility having A16s work as stand alone Firewire devices? I wonder if they have been designed with that in mind?
Also, what about that expansion port? If it could have a stand alone driver, what about giving it 2 adat ports?

Or.. how about making ADAT's standard ports for computers?

I wouldn't like to rely on mobo drivers for pro audio application. they don't have the best track record. Also, the chance of them including 2 + of them would be slim.

I believe there was a USB2 expansion planned.. don't hold your breath though. Over ADAT it's a great converter for the money.

I use my A16 as a front end for an RME HDSP card - works great. I was just throwing out ideas
