That’s crazy and interesting at the same time.

These pictures have inspired me, sure, as I am from yesterday using an air cooler with great results as I am doing a heavy work with the drives working all day and night, this is what rendering asks for… Without the fan, one of the drives got quite hot; with the fan it reduced its heat at about 50%.

This makes me wonder about all the complications we go through, unnecessarily, unless you suffer for the aesthetics side of things. I of course, like aesthetics in the place I work and pass my day, but nevertheless, I think to simply put a air fan when you do hard work is so effective that worth the ugliness.

I have simply opened the case door, and put the air fun closed to the components. The result was “wow”, fantastic cooling without this apparently irreplaceable expensive technology, that in many cases is nothing but cheap bullshit to take your money.

The fan I’m using is similar to this one below:

Now, I am thinking I could easily make a hole into the case, as it is quite big, and insert a big powerful, but quite air fan, but with a cable to feed it from outside the box, that could do a tremendous difference in temperature, without expenses and “irreplaceable” technology, that I could switch on and off whenever the whether becomes too hot, or I do hard job with the drives.

Cheers
