I regularly use 4 PC's which I've installed everything from scratch on myself. All are WinXP Professional, SP2. I use TweakUI to tell Windows to Auto Logon.

On 2 of the PC's this setting is always remembered. On the other two, the setting is remembered once, but then forgotten, so I have to keep resetting every other boot. Anyone know how to make this value stick.

Cheers,
Ben

I'm speaking from vague memory, but I think the autologin thing doesn't work when you have more than one account. But I may be wrong.

Start Menu > Run > control userpasswords2 > "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer": when de-activated, it will popup a window asking for the selected users' password. Enter it, and now on boot Windows should login to that account automatically. Hope this works
