I had the same dilemma, checked out music stores
played Supernova, Virus, Waldorf Q, Korg MS2000 and Clavia. At the end I bought Supernova II keyboard
it is very easy to use and has a great sound, other option was Q but I found it harder to use.

I have Pulsar 1 card with standard modular synth, and found that white noise, and percussion sounds are good as supernova, everything else in pulsar sounds much worse than Supernova.

It all depends on your taste and the money you can throw away. Pulsar + SCOPE SRB board + all available sytnhs for pulsar will cost more than Q or Virus or Supernova.

I have been a happy Pulsar1 user since it was released, however Creamware inflexible upgrade policy and problems with PC hardware and Microsoft
Windows made me looking into other solutions.

So if you like Waldorf Microwave XT, go ahead and get it do not wait for Pulsar solution you might end with not enough Pulsar DSP power to drive synths in polyphony.

Cheers,
Alex
