AuxRack with audio pass through

Request a new device/modular module, and hope that some enterprising developer grants your wish!

Hi, I was creating auxracks with 8 vinco's, 8 masterverbs, 8 ...., only to realise later I have to Activate them before the audio goes thru.

I would like to create a chain of auxracks, each having a single type of device. If I want to enable a device I would activate it. If its not activated, the audio just passes through, instead of with the current AuxRack, where the audio is blocked.

it would be great, I think, to have a chain of say 8 auxracks, with all the devices I reguraly use already there, only having to be activated!!

maybe its already possible with some device ? otherwise I hope someone hears my call

Is it not a waste of resources to have lots of devices loaded that aren't used?

The AuxRack only loads the plugins when you activate them! So its not a waste in resources!

But it is much faster to activate/deactive a device. You can hook a midi button to the AuxRack, using midi presets you can see what auxrack contains what effects! As you can see in my screenshot for example!

I noticed when loading certain plugs into the rack, that some do indeed use DSP resources when not 'activated' on the rack. One of the Masterverbs was a culprit of this.

A good SCOPE device has to be finished in 30minutes.

...was just a joke ...
My potis are not 3D. They are rotated photos, so sadly light and shadow are moving with the poti-movement. It's O.K. for me to have fun. The first green ones used a tricky mask to get some impression of a lightspot after equalizing shadows and light which was in the photos, but it really took too much time to get that trick effective enough. I've seen your demo-poti in the developement-forum and I have to say: It's brilliant!!! Also I have to say: It were just the informations provided in your thread, that enabled me to build such moving graphics. I'm very lucky to find such informations in this forum! Thank you!!!!
After optimizing the workflow I'm really fast with building moving GOs, but one can see: they are not done very well.
For the LC1 graphics, you know, it took much longer for me, though the device really was a quick shot. If this software had undo everything would be twice as fast!

I really wonder, why nobody seems to be interested in "Tong" cause it is a very very nice compressor. O.K. the old look was terrible until Tong III.

About your devices, I think they're getting better & better by the week. You're doing really interesting & complex things, almost as if you were born to bulid to Scope devices!! I'll need to try tong again, but the one I really dig straight out the box is MOVeq, because it's just so alive, responsive & just right up my street in terms of ... well, moving EQs  ... Keep up the great work in your spare time if you have any!!

Hey thanks for the complement about the pot animation! I've got some more that I've been working on in my spare time which I'll post soon as freebies for SDK developers. I wanted to build a collection of free controls for guys like Micron, yourdelf, Aries & any others to use on your plugs, but the 3D modelling and rendering process is really time consuming (I said it takes 1 day but 2 days would be a more realistic est'). For something including moving shadows as part of the alpha channel it takes a lot of photoshop hackery after all the 3D work is done, which really adds to the time factor. But I'll finish what I started on that one. In the mean time, just give me a shout if you want some control graphics or whatever for one of your devices.
