Hi all,
i am building a blog about Creamaware Scope fusion platform, used in live applications!

you can join it here :
http://cwsfplive.over-blog.com/

The reason i have decided to build it elsewhere than on PZ is that it's much easier for me to manage a blog than posting treads on PZ !!!
Sorry john ... but i'll try as possible to make regular links between these two places, the aim of this is to improve the use of SFP for all, and why not, convince CW to go on developping for live apps !!!

We are very lucky to work on this platform that is today the only one (with PT) able to work live (zero latency) , let's make it better !
cheers,
olive

Good Luck Mate, I have never used my cards live, getting old, haven't played lived for over 10 years. I'll be interested to see the results people have had.

Nice site. Thanks olive. Can you exlpain your poject setup?
And also, Do you stick with the same project throughout the show or do youo add remove modules/plugs as you go? I've had SFP crash on me when loading certain plugs like Vectron, or modular.

I've been using Scope as FOH processor/crossover for several years and all I can say is: WOW!

The quality of results is *way* beyond conventional processing systems

It's a real joy to build a crossover- and processing network that really sings and sounds wonderfully transparant. The Scope mastering and dynamics plugins are just the perfect tool.

I usually take my notebook into the listening position and tweak Scope-settings using WIFI and remote desktop.

Without any problems !!! with much more flexibility ... coz in fact, you can easily settup any FOH systems (LA, Meyer, EAW, D&B ...) with the same DAW !!!

I usually use Optimaster, G31EQ !!! and of course DAS rev 160 RMX an SL 9000 Strip !
as an insert, ... poltek !

very interesting possibilities !!!
i have tried it this year ! working on devices adapted to 1024X768 display !

very happy to see we are more than one working live with SFP !

Just a note to other CW users. If you use Scope with Remote Desktop you're advised to use the "Classic" mode for Scope in settings. Standard mode has GDI issues and only draws the top layer. Some devices don't draw at all until you 'grab' and move them.

In my studio I use synergy a lot more than vnc or rdp now because my monitors are all in proximity of me and easily viewed. It basically makes external pc's act as if they were another monitor, with shared clipboards and even synced screensavers. Athough it has a bit more cpu impact on the other box than RDp it has less impact on the DAW overall. THe only bug I have is wIth dual cpu machines--it seems to have some syncing issues while a process hogs one of the cpu's (you can't cross monitors easily). This might be to me using the most recent (not-known-stable) builds though.
