Just went again through my worklow and found out, that I would do much more tasks in SFP if I just had plugs like the gate and the simple "tape delay" in that so logical sequencer...

I love that noisegate! The controlling signal (self- and sidechain-gating) can be easily EQ`d with a high -and lowcut. That makes that gate sooo flexible and fast!
Most annoying of the SFP-gate is, that there is no dropdown menue for the sidechain input. So I can`t use it in a mixer... Or am I missing something?

The delay is my favourite delay! It`s tempo synced, but the tempo can be edited by a groove slider. Like the gate, the signal can be EQed with hi- and lowcut.
I`m not really sure if that kind of EQ-design is possible, because the nobs controll each other when the frequencies are identical...

What do you think?

By the way... I`m dreaming of a transformer device for mackie control...
Just connect it via midi between MC and any midi-able SFP device and get hands on...
I think the needed messages for the display is the problem...

Sorry for my silly thoughts!

Jan

TapeDelay : this was the 2nd device, I built with DP. Unfortunatley it uses 15 dsps due to the ability that it can change the tempo without clicks. At that time the dsp load meter of DP was defect, so I realized the heavy dsp load only after loading it into sfp
So, yes it's possible, but doesn't make much sense dsp-wise, so I never released it .. but it sounds great ..
NoiseGate: is easily possible to build, also with sfp stock devices .. but not in inserts via SC, you're right ..

Ups, 15 dsps! That´s a word, for sure...

How can I connect two cut-filter?
E.g. lowcut is at 500 Hz. So hicut can only be edited between 500 and 20kHz...
And if I move lowcut, the hicut "border" has to change...
I need this for "feedback-filter-sweeps"!
I have no idea how to realize this with normal ccs...

Greetings to HH from Köln!

Wolf are you saying that wiith your delay, one would be able to modulate delay times without gliches!?

yep.

@Janni: you could create some faders in the environment of Logic, where the minimum of the HC filter fader is the actual LC value and the maximum of the LC filter fader is the actual HC value.

well wolf, if u realize u cant make money from such a dev, maybe u just should release it to the masses for the promise of a beer next time u visit their town? wouldnt make u rich, but atleast u can be a jetset alchoholic!
