I have had 45 DSP's to play with 4 a week now, and of course I have been loading them up all the way. The Global Optimisation window is 4 sure a major drag on my enthusiastim, but a nescessity. But I have turned my synths into random note misses, and the DSP meter is only at 60%!! This comes after 7 Global windows warnings, and after the final window sucseeds, I get these great sounds with misses. When I save the project it stores the problem too. Are there any tricks that are common knowledge or tips for avoiding this lengthy waste of time?

Crippling My DSP's?
I can have the same problems when it is hot out here: using a normal fan behind the computer, to keep temperature low has always helped me in avoiding such messages (for a projects loaded up to 75/80% ).
It is worth trying with a regular fan (not a computer fan, which are not enough in some cases). It has always saved my summers...
it might be something else (of a more technical nature), but it could be just that...
(if you have a temperature monitor software for your mother board, you can see temperature of mobo/cpu going lower and lower, in general i try to keep everything around 60° celsius, and below 70°..).

I bet you are right Mehdi, I have never seen such activity before. The new CPU / Mobo is extremely quiet and cool. But I bet those 45 DSP's are being punished by me on my giant synth DAW. I shall try this and see how the air flow effects everything. BTW your devices are incredibly addicting. HTW did you create this stuff? Was it a dream 4 synthesizers re created in DSP? It is so gratifying, and picks up where everyone left off. The perfect compliment to synth players palette. Your name will last a 1000 years.
Well since I didn't have a fan. I settled 4 my MIDI controlled fog machine. It has a fan which kicks out the banks of fog slowly. It might not work but my SFP rack sure looks cool. My fiancee thinks I'm nuts, and doesn't like the smell of it, but I use to follow the mosquito fog trucks on my bike when I was a kid, I just loved that smell. So I feel like I'm on stage even when I'm at home.

I do not know in fact, looking into areas where people usually don't want to go, crushing principles, just when i was a young rocker

Creamware obviously knows your contributions and develops stuff that doesn't compete, all in all between John Bowen, Adern, Creamware, and you, I have the most awesome rig I ever heard of 4 synths!! I am just making patches and patches and layers w/ FX, it is hard to describe the pleasure I'm having. After hours I walk over have a shot of Jaegermeister, a puff off of a fatty, a dip in the pool, a brief breeding episode with Wilma, and I do it again. This is the life my friend. Thanks again.

In regards, were your problems solved with adequate cooling fans? Kind of startling to read stuff like this when I'm about to purchase a card. I want stability above all else.
What is this global optimization dialog all about too? I am not familiar with the concept. How long are we talking about? How often does it occur?
