New modular labelling methods

Post by Shroomz~> »

It would be very cool if we could have a new modular module (1U) which allows you to 'load' a completely custom 'skin'. In other words just a module with a 'load' button which allows replacement of it's background skin. This way we could make custom parameter naming strips with graphic elements.

I'm guessing this won't be possible.

NI Reaktor is a good example of customizable modular enviroment.
I hope for a new mod IV edition with a better & complete interface mod.
4PC + Scope 5.0 + no more Xite + 2xScope Pro + 6xPulsarII + 2xLunaII + SDK + a lot of devices (Flexor III & Solaris 4.1 etc.) + Plugiator.

Do you mean based on KlangBox Hardware ?

What you mean in term of use would be:
- user designed modular patch (Including Flexor)
- user customizable user interface with a set of switch/poti to remap the used control to a different skin
Am I right ?

I already now this is difficullt to achieve though when I look a clavia nords modular the basis are other there.

One good solution as preconfigured user interface would be to have hardware midi controller based mapping (BCR/BCF 2000, X-Station, Remote SL, Xboard, Bitstream 3X ...) with a customizable skin on the PC remote software.

No, I didn't explain myself well enough. I'll try to explain the idea in more detail with some images.
