graphical problem of PEQ4 in XTC-Mode whith Nuendo 3.2 ?

Hy
I have remarked a graphical problem whith PEQ4 when I'm using my SCOPE in XTC-Mode:
The PEQ4 stereo was placed in a insert slot of my nuendo mixer.
When I set a bell-(peak)-filter to 20 kHz with a gain of +12 dB
and make a automation for a filter-sweep down to 20 Hz
the filtercurve still rests in same position (20 kHz)!
If I moove the mouse over the PEQ4 instance, the parameter knob
were mooving stagnant (not fluently).
The curve is still frozen.
After a long automation Nuendo crashes!
Have anybody remarked same problems?
Maybe somebody can help me out.
Thank You all for posting,
will be a great welcome present for me,
I'm a newcomer here.
Best regards
Tobi

I would like to add another question.
Have anybody used the
PEQ4 in XTC-Mode and did an automation in Cubase or Nuendo so far?
If yes, please give me a message.
Thanks

No idea, but how does it sound, does it sweep the filter? Then just don't look at it.
Perhaps you are better of with the Filter device.

Hello voidar,
my problem is that I would use the PEQ4 with my new alphatrack from frontier. This is a controller which uses the automation-parameter which were given by the PEQ4 programming.
The controlling is possible and the PEQ4 accepts all manual tuning from the alphatrack, but I can’t see what I have tuned.
Next Problem:
Nuendo crashes after a while when there is running an automation.
Do you use the PEQ4 in XTC-Mode?
Have you already automate the PEQ4 in the XTC-Mode?
Thank you for responding.
Regards
Tobi

I tried this in REAPER. I seem to be able to recreate your problem. Don't really know what causes this. :/

So these are realy necessary news!
I hope that sombody else join this thread and share his experiences whith me.
I'm sure there is a BUG in the PEQ4.dev in the Cre@meware Plugin!
Please post your thoughts here.
If you all have used the PEQ4 but didn't an automation yet,
please try and let me know if your host show the graphical moovement
or if the application crashs too.
Thanx to all.

there is possibly a solution, but it costs you 99,- euri.
It's called Poltek, eq by DAS.
It sounds at least as good as the PEQ4, you wouldn't notice even I think...the GUI is much better anyway.
Not sure about XTC behaviour, there's a demo if I'm right.

Hy hubird,
have you make automations whith the PEQ4 in your hostapplication?
Maby you could do this and tell me your results.
If you are no XTC-Mode user, or rather you have no possibility to try your
XTC-Effects with a host, there is no need to reply here.
Thank you for testing an old, non-vintage EQ in XTC mode.
The PEQ4 is a very simple but necessery standard effect.
Although this EQ is one of the oldest effects of cre@mware's Scope-platform.
Actually it should work in XTC-Mode also if there is an automation
or a external controlling.
regards
T.

I have good news for all of them
who works with the old Creamware PEQ4.dev
and have problems like described above in XTC-Mode.
Today I get a message from SonicCore support.
Ralf also detect the poblem of automating the PEQ 4.
He proposed the correction.
I hope there will be a new device-update
to be downloaded here in this thread.
For news look here or ask for Support@Soniccore.
So long!
