Scope Freezes then Crashes System

I am using a Scope running version 4.5 on an XP machine with Live 6.0.7. Almost like clockwork after about 20-30 minutes of work, the Scope interface becomes locked, but seems to still work (audio works fine). Then later on, Live freezes and the whole machine crashes. Anyone seen anything similar or have any advice. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled both Scope and LIve and have seen no improvement.

are you using the physical midi ports on the scope card?

Maybe an overheating problem?

The physical midi ports question is leading you to look for active sensing on your keyboard controller (one well known issue).
The other possibility would be a resource conflict with your motherboard.
Overheating is a more outside chance than the two above (though certainly worth monitoring as well, especially since the scope DSPs run hot, there's a nice freeware tool called Speedfan).

Thanks for the thoughts. I do have the midi ports physically connected, but the problem happens regardless of whether or not any of the external midi devices are powered on or not. I don't think its a heat issue because I installed a big speed adjustable fan and heatsink in when I got the Scope board, and my Intel board thinks the heat is ok.
Not really sure what else to try, but thanks for suggestions.
