A16 Ultra Help, Please

I recently opened up my A16 Ultra out of curiosity. I, erm, can't quite close it, now. The connectors on the motherboard and daughterboard abut and prevent me from sliding the top on all the way. Would one of you please peer through the side vents into a light, and describe the orientation of the ribbon and location of the bottom connector? You can plainly see two jacks on the motherboard when you look through the vents, and I'd like to know if the ribbon connector is connected to the ones closer to the front of the unit, or to the back. It's possible I got that wrong.
Cheers.

Hi,
Closer to the front. That's why you missed the second row when you opened the box up. In terms of getting the box closed again, it's really just a matter of jigging the jacks around in their holes unitl they all fit. ( I know that sounds over-simplified but it's what I did). Not too worried about whether mine goes back together or not any more. My A16 Ultra has died after two years and local repair centres cannot fix it. I looked after my A16 Ultra pedantically and one day it just died. Not too reassuring for a German-made product. After discovering that the unit wasn't working I too opened the box (after being curios about what was inside for the last two years).
Goodluck,

If by "Mr. Buddy" you mean 'Audio Buddy', the cheap and cheerful M-Audio brand two channel mic pre that is made in China, that I've owned for much longer than my A16 Ultra and that I've treated far worse? Yes. It is still in use for random jobs and going strong.
