How I miss my scope platform...
How I miss it... My move to OSX was 2 steps ahead but one step backwards unfortunately. I couldn't afford leaving my old G4 with OS9 and my Scope cards and now am missing Master-d, Optimaster and the bass synth - the Celmo's Bassman III. The first two were unbeatable in creating the fattest and loudest master mix (the Logic 7 built in Multipressor and the AdLimiter are worse). The Bassman produces the best sounding bass sound I heard in computer domain! Now I have to use 3 or 4 different plugins simultanously to achieve 70% of the bass sound... They are most apparent plugins. But the Saturn synth as well as Ambient and others are also awesome. As always, you only see the positive aspects after you quit something. So if you plan to quit Scope, think twice, count your money and say... no. This is an advice of a person who used Scope for 5 years.
The good of Scope is that you an just put it in a 150EU used Pentium 4 machine, connect it digitally and expand your environment. Run your Sequencer on the Mac and get some sounds and processing in Scope. What's the problem? Any Apple gadget or stupid VST costs more....You don't have to use Windows that much, just to load Scope.
